ANTHONY JOSHUA has said that he will knock out Jarrell Miller when they fight on June 1 in New York for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Anthony Joshua, along with Miller, spoke at a news conference in New York to promote their heavyweight battle.
The fight was announced just last week, following months of speculation about who ‘AJ’ would fight following his win over Alexander Povetkin back in September.
Before the news conference began, Miller proceeded to push Joshua as they squared up for the cameras.
And the antagonising didn’t stop there, as both continued to jaw at each other when they were seated.
Joshua spoke about why and how he would beat his American opponent at Madison Square Garden in June.
“Jarrell Miller is the softest hitter in the heavyweight division,” he said.
“For a 300lb guy he punches like a fairy. Even on his best day he can’t beat me.
“There’s no fairytale story about what I do, I will beat Miller and knock him out.
“He’s like a parrot, he would talk the same sh*t to Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.”
Joshua went on to dig at Miller’s past, before stating again that he would leave Miller in his wake.
“He’s stupid and ignorant, I thought he would be smarter,” the heavyweight champion of the world added.
“I could hype him up but Miller can’t punch, he hasn’t got good work rate.
“I’ve done my stats and facts, i throw more punches than him, he’s an ex-PED user, he hasn’t done anything as a fighter, amateur or professional.
“He’s coming up against a true fighter, thats why he can’t beat me on his best day.”
Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn nearly agreed a deal for Joshua to fight the likes of Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury later this year.
But nothing could be agreed, and now Joshua will make his U.S. debut in the summer.
